GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) Policy

  1. Policy for Authors

The Journal permits the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools—including but not limited to AI-based writing assistants, paraphrasing tools, summarizers, or interpretation aids—under the following conditions:

  1. Permissible Uses

Authors are allowed to use GenAI for the following purposes:

  1. Language and Writing Assistance
  • Grammar correction, paraphrasing, summarizing, clarity improvement.
  • Drafting or refining sections of text with author oversight.

  1. Graph and Image Reproduction

Authors may use GenAI to reproduce graphs, plots, or visualizations only if:

  • The underlying data, code, or original figure is created by the authors.
  • The AI is used only to redraw or enhance the visualization.
  • No AI-generated or fabricated data is added.
  • The authors manually verify and approve the final graph to ensure accuracy.

  1. Prohibited Uses
    • Generating or modifying dataresults, or statistical output.
    • Creating fabricated data, sources, references, or experimental results.
    • Producing entire sections of the manuscript without substantial author involvement.
    • Using AI to create fake citations or manipulate evidence.

  1. Author Responsibilities
  • Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scholarly quality of the submitted work
  • All GenAI usage must be disclosed in the manuscript (“Acknowledgment” or “Methods” section, specifying the tool and the purpose (e.g., “ChatGPT was used for language editing purposes only”)).
  • Any plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated content, or copyright infringement whether created manually or via AI will subject the manuscript to immediate rejection if discovered before publication or retraction, notification of the author’s institution, and any necessary corrective actions if discovered after publication.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with ethical research and publication standards.

  1. Policy for Reviewers
